Baby Alpaca & Wool Unlined Suit - Ferla® Fabrics

A Atelier suit crafted from Ferla® Baby Alpaca fabric, made in Italy from baby alpaca and wool blend. The fabric is distinguished by lightly flocked yarns that rise subtly from the surface, adding depth and a three-dimensional character to the weave.

The irregular check pattern is created through overlapping tonal horizontal and vertical lines, enriched by subtle slub effects and small mélange details throughout the cloth. Its textured surface combines the enveloping softness of baby alpaca with the structure of wool, while the technical fibre helps improve stability and durability.

The single-breasted jacket features a two-button fastening with natural horn buttons, classic notched lapels and a welt breast pocket. Two generously sized patch pockets with softly rounded lower edges reinforce the relaxed tailoring of the design. The unlined, deconstructed construction minimises internal padding, allowing the fabric to follow the body with a natural and lightweight drape.

Full AMF stitching runs along the lapels, collar, front edges, pockets and main seams, highlighting the precision of the tailoring. Clean, natural shoulders and gently shaped sides create a balanced silhouette. At the back, a central seam and two side vents provide freedom of movement and maintain a neat drape. The sleeves are finished with buttoned vents and three natural horn buttons.

The trousers are designed with two front pleats, adding volume through the upper section and continuing into a relaxed, regular leg. The waistband features belt loops, a natural horn button fastening and slanted side pockets. Two buttoned rear welt pockets and turned-up cuffs complete the tailored construction.
